Overview

Purpose

You know when you start to like something that has been around for years and there is tons of content to sort through? I felt like that learning about BTS so I took my interest in them and my passion for Web Design and I created a website geared to help those who are newer to learning about BTS have a resource to learn information about the boys, the terms, and the different things that they are a part of.

Audience

The intended audience for this website is for those who are looking for information on the band known as BTS. It will be a lovely place for those who know nothing about the group, those who are just joining, and even those who have been in the fandom for a while as it will be updated as new information comes out. It will be a nice one-stop spot of information that makes learning more about the group easier as the information is compiled in one spot.

Typography

Heading Font: Amatic SC

This font has a good balance of fun and Presence. When looking for a Heading font, I focused on finding one that was not too "stiff" and upheld the fun of what BTS represents along with staying with the theme of the page; that being Mikrokosmos, aka whimsy and space.

Paragraph Font: Open Sans

When it can to the body font, I wanted something that is easy to read. Nothing that is too fancy as the Header font already falls in that category. Open San felt like the correct choice as it could up hold both those things and pairs well with Amatic SC.

Normal paragraph example

Home page

About my page:
I want the homepage to have links to articles that I create and be kept up today on what is new with the group. This will be a great draw for people who are new to BTS as well as People who have been with the group awhile. The group has many social platforms, and it can be hard to keep up to date on everything. Having a centralized place to get information would be a large draw for people.

The Boys:
Some of the boys have stage names (RM, Suga, V, J-Hope) and some simply go by their given name or derivative of it (Jin, Jimin, Jungkook). The group has been together for 8 years as of June 13th, 2021. The group consists of three rappers (RM, Suga, J-Hope) and four vocalists (Jin, Jimin, V, Jungkook). The group is also well known for their dancing. Their dance leader is J-Hope. Jimin and Jungkook are the main dance back-ups, with V frequently seen as a featured dancer.

The group will sometimes break into subgroups for songs as well as solo songs. Three of the members have solo mixtapes being RM's "Mono", Suga's "Agust D" and "D-2" (under his solo name of "Agust D"), and J-Hope's "Hope World."

It is Billboard top 100 #1 for 2 weeks running as of June 9th, 2021.

Amid its achievements it truly is a song for the fans of BTS, known as ARMY (Hyperlink to ARMY page). From the actual reference of ARMY behind them to references to fandom inside refences, this song truly is a love song from ARMY to BTS, just BTS wrote it for them.

There are also many additional videos of Butter, including two performances, the first being for the BBMA's and the second for Good Morning America. Along with multiple dance practice videos. As well as remixes and accompanying music videos, which include many more references and different dance styles.

Army
A.R.M.Y is an acronym for Adorable Representative M.C. for Youth
I would like to keep track of where people who visit the website are from and some other facts about them. Possible post that information for others on the site to see, such as polls. The fact that BTS ARMY is a global fandom adds to why I believe having a form to see where people are from would be cool for me as the website creator to know as well as anyone else who visits the page.

Also, a place to learn important information about what it means to be a part of BTS ARMY, such as terms, important dates, important videos to know (Musters).
